Following the earthquake that rocked the Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince, two award-winning documentary filmmakers, Lori Dowd of Avatar Studios and Frank Popper of Frank Popper Productions, returned to Haiti for what would be their third visit since March of 2009. Popper describes the film as, "a universal story of endurance, perseverance and hope in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds." As reported in a recent Riverfront Times article (read the full story here), the Avatar crew is tracking the progress of Dr. Patricia Wolff, a St. Louis pediatrician, and her team from Meds and Foods for Kids.
The St. Louis League of Women Voters invited Popper and Dowd to present selections from the documentary at their annual meeting. Please join the filmmakers for this opportunity to preview this documentary in production.
